Rosie Bell Memorial Scholarship 

Applicant must be a 2022 graduate from a Georgia high school in Bartow, Floyd, Polk, Paulding, or Gordon County.  

Must have at minimum unweighted 3.0 GPA. Must provide a copy of your high school transcript (unofficial copies are accepted).Must provide proof of acceptance/enrollment in a 2 year or 4 year college or university. Must provide a current recommendation letter from a school official or a leader in your community. Must be attending college this upcoming school year (2022-2023). In addition to the application, write and submit an essay 300-500 words stating your educational and career goals and WHY you need this scholarship. Horatio Alger Scholarship 

Since 1984, Horatio Alger Association Members and Friends have been funding need-based college scholarships to support deserving young people overcome their adversity and pursue their dreams through higher education. So far the Association has awarded more than $125 million to approximately 20,000 students.

In addition to undergraduate scholarship support, the Association offers a number of services and opportunities to Horatio Alger Scholars: Financial Aid and Scholarship Counseling, College Readiness Tools, Support and Referral Services, Mentoring Programs, Alumni Association, Graduate Grants

Daughters of the American Revolution Scholarship

The NSDAR awards multiple scholarships to students showing dedication to the pursuit of degrees in diverse disciplines including history, law, nursing, and education.

The DAR Scholarship Committee awards scholarships to qualified applicants regardless of race, religion or sex. All applicants must be United States citizens. All multi-year scholarships, typically renewable up to four years, must be for consecutive years of attendance at an accredited college or university in the United States. The only exception is the American Indian Scholarship that is available for students pursuing vocational training. Applications must be postmarked by TBD.

Georgia Military Scholarships at UNG

The University of North Georgia has 42 Georgia Military Scholarships (GMS) valued at $70,000 each available for college-bound seniors. The scholarship pays for four years of tuition, fees, room, meals, books, and uniforms at the University of North Georgia in the Corps of Cadets. In order to be considered for this scholarship, the student must be accepted by the University of North GA. Detailed information is on UNG’s Georgia Military Scholarship web page.

GA State University Goizueta Latino Scholarship

GA State is currently recruiting and accepting applications for their Goizueta Scholarship. The benefits of the scholarship include:

  • $10,000/per year per student for four years, applied to student account

  • Eligibility to apply for leadership development stipends

  • Eligibility to become a paid Supplemental Instruction leader (assisting college students in their classes)

  • Eligibility to apply for internship opportunities during senior year

The deadline to apply is rapidly approaching and we’d like to encourage Latino students who are seniors and have been accepted into Georgia State to apply for the scholarship. Jacksonville State University Art Scholarship

Jacksonville State University's Department of Art has a dedicated scholarship program to aid incoming students who plan to concentrate in Ceramics, Drawing, Graphic Design, Painting, Photography, and/or Printmaking. SCAD Distinguished Scholars Award

SCAD offers a $20,000/year scholarship for students who have a minimum SAT score of 1200 or minimum ACT score of 27; at least a 3.75 G.P.A.; outstanding visual arts, performance arts, writing, or riding capabilities; and other criteria. Go Build Georgia High Demand Career Scholarship

 

In an effort to promote greater awareness of careers in the skilled trades, Go Build Georgia (GBG), in partnership with the Go Build Georgia Foundation, will award Go Build Georgia High Demand Career Scholarships, through a partnership with the Technical College System of Georgia (TCSG), to graduating high school seniors entering a TCSG institution in a field of study leading to a high-demand career in the skilled trades. The Go Build Georgia High Demand Career Scholarship is a $1,000 scholarship that is geared toward programs leading to careers deemed “high demand,” as identified through the Governor’s High Demand Career Initiative. These scholarships can work in concert with the Strategic Industries Workforce Development Grants (SIWDG) as they can be used to cover not only tuition, but may be used for requisite fees and materials.
